Do dogs with stage one of luxating patella feel any pain?
When they are walking normally witout lifting there leg up in pain, do they feel pain? And can this condition get better or worse in any way? Thanks.

Its only uncomfortable when the kneecap is out of place.. most dogs with grade one learn how to pop the patella back into place.
It can gradually get worse.. and the dog may develop arthritis in his knees prematurly. I'd ask your vet about using a glucosamine chondrotin supplement.. as this helps with joint issues.
Also luxating patella is genetic.. your dog needs to be neutered.. he's not breeding quality. This condition is common in poms.. and the only way to weed it out is to stop breeding dogs that have the problem.
