The Graco TrueCoat Pro Cordless Spraygun
The Graco TrueCoat Pro airless paint sprayer is a new unique type of hand held airless spraygun. It boasts Graco's proven piston-pump technology. Amazingly, this unit runs on a rechargeable, Lithium-ion battery.
Most airless spraygun units are powered by a large pump unit that is wheeled or carried around from room to room. This pump unit delivers the paint through the spray hose to the handpiece which then sprays the paint onto the surface. This system is ideal for large painting tasks because of the large volumes of paint needed. However, many painting tasks do not require these large airless systems. Here is where the Graco Truecoat Pro become a good alternative.
To get started, you simply remove the spraycup from the unit, and apply a plastic liner to the inside of the cup. By doing this you can easily dispose of unused paint, reducing clean up time. Next, pour paint into the cup, re-attach, prime the unit, and you're ready to start spraying.
The Graco TrueCoat Pro is perfect for inside and outside painting tasks, including fences, walls, weatherboards, architraving, doors etc. It will easily spray a variety of paint products and there are 4 different spraytips for different paints. Best of all, thinning the paint is not required with the Truecoat Pro System.
Washing a spraygun is normally a time consuming process. However, with the Graco sprayer, cleaning is a breeze. First you simply remove the plastic liner from the cup. Next, fill the cup with water and flush it through the pump. Finally, replace the water with the pump armour solution (to increase pump life) and ... You're done!
The cordless nature of the Truecoat pro is a massive advantage, however it must be noted that the battery life will only enable you to spray approximately 1 Gallon of paint (3.79 ltrs) The complete kit comes with 2, 18 volt Lithium Ion batteries which take around 45 minutes to charge up to 80 percent capacity. Obviously this okay for less extensive projects, but would not be appropriate for spraying large quantities of paint quickly.
A lot of time and energy can be saved by using an airless spraygun. At the end of the day, there is no better feeling than knowing that you have saved countless hours of work by spray painting. Always remember to use the appropriate respirator and protective clothing when spraying and don't forget to protect surrounding surfaces by masking up and laying down drop sheets where neccesary.
All in all, an airless spraygun unit is an essential addition to anyones tool kit, especially if you don't like the idea of wasting your life by painting the old fashioned way.
